The Procedure
The procedure will begin by attaching a sterile cartridge that contains 12 tiny micro-points to the device. Next, we will apply sterile saline to your skin and choose the appropriate pen position to apply to the affected area, based on your needs. Once this is done, we will press the pen gently against the affected area. The Microneedling pen creates controlled and precise micro-injuries to the skin using a high speed automated needle tip in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin.
Fast Treatment
You don’t have to worry about taking too much time out of your day! Each procedure usually lasts approximately 15-30 minutes depending on the area being treated.
Minimal Discomfort
With the MicroPen, you may experience slight discomfort. The feeling is equivalent to getting sandpaper rubbed on your skin. Some areas are more sensitive than others, however adjusting the speed of the tip can make the treatment more comfortable.
Minimal Downtime
Post-treatment, you will find a bright redness on your skin, however, this won’t take long to heal. The amount of healing time depends on the pen position and the number of times we went over the area to ensure it was treated to the best of our ability. Generally speaking, the redness will go down between 1 – 4 days. Immediately following the treatment, you will notice a glow in your skin and continue to notice better results as weeks pass by.
