Types of Juvéderm and Their Uses

How to Prepare for the Treatment
Avoid taking blood thinning medications including aspirin and ibuprofen. Also avoid drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes weeks prior to the treatment so you are at less of a risk for bruising. Typically, the injections are done the same day as the consultation, so make sure you’re well informed and clearly communicate what you want the end result to look like.
During the Treatment
Dr. Boulos will first start by using a pen to mark the areas they’re going to administer the injection. Once injected, she will massage the area to ensure that the Juvéderm is evenly distributed and to reduce the risk of swelling. Typically, the procedure takes approximatley 15 minutes – 1 hour.
Recovery
There’s little recovery time involved once the procedure is complete. In order for it to heal faster and better, avoid tiring physical activity, sun exposure, makeup and consuming alcohol for at least one day.
How Long Do Results Last?
